Opera Atelier is onstage from October 31 – November 9 with Mozart’s comedy Don Giovanni. They’re followed by Mandy Patinkin in Concert: Diaries on November 12 and 14. Mandy will perform favourite Broadway and classic American tunes. along with selections from his newest recordings on Nonesuch Records.
Girl From the North Country, featuring the music of Bob Dylan, continues at the Royal Alexandra Theatre through November 24.
Come From Away returns to the Royal Alex, where it began its current run in February of 2018, on December 13. Until then, it continues its highly successful interlude at the Elgin Theatre through December 1st.
The National Ballet of Canada is onstage at the Four Seasons Centre with three productions in November as they begin their 2019/20 season, which will celebrate Artistic Director and former principal dancer Karen Kain’s 50th year with the company. First up is the iconic classic Giselle, from November 6 – 11, followed by the world premiere of Orpheus Alive, by Canadian choreographer Robert Binet, from November 15 – 21. A triple bill featuring Etudes ends the month, onstage from November 27 to December 1.
The Toronto Symphony Orchestra offers its usual wide selection of entertainment through the month at Roy Thomson Hall with selections such as Thaïs (opera-in-concert), Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, and an All Tchaikovsky program.
Meridian Hall begins November with Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in concert, October 29 – November 2, followed by a large variety of music and dance performances throughout the month.
The George Weston Recital Hall at the Meridian Arts Centre welcomes the Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra in November, as well as the Musical Stage Co. and London’s The Kingdom Choir, the gospel choir best known for its performance of Stand by Me at the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The Princess of Wales Theatre will reopen on November 27, after several months closed for renovations, with a touring production of Cats.
